💭The key problems of current P2E models

1. Complex Gameplay & Project-bounded Assets

P2E games often feature complicated gameplay that is unappealing for all but the most hardcore gamers. They also demand that players spend a large amount of time a day just to be able to earn tokens and rewards.

In addition, there are often unequal rewards for latecomers, which leads to a slowdown in player acquisition as time goes by. This is unhealthy for the long-term sustainability of the game, as growth of the player base is necessary to maintain a stable token price.

Apart from that, the current NFTs are stuck within the particular project. It makes the ownership meaningless when the NFT is forever stuck within it.

2. Unsustainable tokenomics & Depreciating Market

The first generation of P2E games have paved the way for our P2EE model by allowing us to learn from their mistakes. One of the biggest issues faced by P2E games now is the lack of sustainable tokenomics, leading to uncontrollable inflation which devalues the token due to oversupply.

Sometimes, P2E developers attempt to circumvent this issue by nerfing in-game NFTs to make them less valuable, which is inherently unfair to the NFT owner.

3. Undeveloped Player Ecosystem

A healthy player ecosystem is essential for a game to thrive long-term. Currently, many P2E games have unregulated scholar-manager systems, leading to many issues that deter players from remaining in the community.

These issues include slow payouts by managers, under-performance by scholars, tedious NFT sharing, and disputes over revenue sharing.

4. Toxic culture of NFT/GameFi Industry

Many GameFi projects currently in existence lack user-friendliness for newcomers, and a significant portion of their existing user base tends to be unwelcoming. This dynamic fosters a culture where newer players may lose interest in the project due to perceived "gatekeeping" behaviors exhibited by established users. The unwelcoming atmosphere, both from the project itself and its user community, can deter potential participants, hindering the growth and sustainability of the GameFi ecosystem.
