# Treasure Boxes

Treasure Boxes are the cornerstone of the Bounty Temple experience, inspired by the legendary chests of folklore containing untold riches and embodying the essence of exploration, discovery, and reward. 

The mechanics of Treasure Boxes are simple: By combining four (4) [Shards](https://bountytemple.gitbook.io/whitepaper-v1/marketplace-and-tokenomics/treasure-boxes/shards) from each element, players can unlock one (1) Treasure Box.

Each Treasure Box is systematically categorized into one of four tiers, ranging from lowest to the highest:&#x20;

1. Mystic&#x20;
2. Arcane
3. Divine
4. Celestial&#x20;

Within this framework, each Treasure Box presents a diverse selection of exclusive rewards that are designed to be exceptionally useful regardless of any player’s proficiency level. The element of randomness behind the rewards should motivate players to actively seek out Treasure Boxes as a means of progression, since each opening is an opportunity for something new and unexpected that would enhance gaming performance.
